Each tutoring session is 1 hour and 30 minutes with students taking around 30 minutes to prep.

We provide both beginner and intermediate materials for teachers and students. Teachers can use materials of their own. Each tutor usually goes through around 3-5 different types of materials: such as sentence structures, different ways of speaking English sentences.  

Students and tutors interact through practicing English dialogue and through communicating in Chinese. 

Our mission

I founded the Adults English Tutoring club in May of 2020, our Club aims to connect teens to seniors and adults who need support with English conversation weekly 1-on-1 support from a native speaker.

About Me:

My name is Andrew Guan and is currently attending Canyon Crest Academy. My hobbies are hanging out with friends, watching Youtube, and doing Track and Field. 

Why I Tutor:

I love helping others learn and improve. Tutoring the elderly in our community is a great way to get engaged with the people around you. The feeling of accomplishment after someone understands and retains something you taught is very uplifting.

Future plans:

I will continue to improve and grow our club. I have seen the dedication of our tutors and students. It is amazing how high schoolers can make a positive impact on their community. We will continue to expand their knowledge, communication skills, and culture knowledge.
