We are a group of high school and middle school students passionate about ecology, aquatic life, and environmental preservation. Through our club at school, the Biotope Club, we create "Biotopes", which are natural recreations of a fish's environment in an aquarium. By doing so, we aim to spread awareness throughout our school about the importance of preserving these ecosystems. As we continue to grow, we are expanding our influence to other parts of the community as well. In 2024, we will join efforts to enhance biodiversity in our local community.
As I've witnessed the devastating impact of climate change on our planet's ecosystems, I founded the Biotope Club with the goal of uniting like-minded individuals who share my passion for fishkeeping and climate activism. Our group, although small and underfunded, has ambitious plans to expand our biotope and aquarium projects in school. We're also working towards our biggest project yet: restoring natural ecosystems, inspired by Mossy Earth on YouTube. Alongside this, we aim to educate our younger generation about environmental stewardship. To achieve this, we need talented members from all fields of expertise - please don't hesitate to reach out!

This is our main goal! We will re-introduce native species into local environments, and restore once biodiverse areas via a non-profit, while working with ecology and aquatic experts to get it done the right way.
Teach younger generations about our planet and why we need to preserve it! We provide, or will provide, field trips, aquarium workshops and speaker listenings
We are working on starting a new project that focuses on offering free gardening and aquarium knowledge and materials! We want to spread a sustainable style of gardening by offering wildflowers and native Californian species. We also want to lower the fishkeeping hobby's footprint by teaching others about a natural, hands free fishkeeping method
