Summer education program
Last summer, we worked with a nonprofit organization to teach a summer camp for children. We incorporated knowledge about local species and the environment with their sport and other play activities.
Field Trips to the Academy of Sciences
To spread more awareness about our aquatic world, we host annual field trips at our highschool! These are images from our field trip to the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco. This was the first field trip hosted by a club in our school's history
Local creek water sampling and collection
To create a natural aquarium, we must embrace nature! Here we collected water samples from our local creek to get a look at its biodiversity and how we could incorporate some of its elements into our aquarium at school.
Invasive Species Work
We are working on identifying invasive species! This is still a separate project I am working on at ASDRP, but once completed we will use this to identify invasive species in California
